Why We Built This Site

Irish shoppers are underserved by UK and US beauty publications. Products that get glowing reviews in those markets aren't always available here. Prices differ. Formulations change between regions. And advice calibrated for different climates and skin concerns doesn't always translate.

We focus entirely on the Irish market — covering what's available in Irish pharmacies, department stores, and online retailers that actually ship here. When something isn't easy to buy in Ireland, we say so.

What We Cover

Our guides span four main areas:

• Irish Beauty Brands — brands with Irish roots or a significant Irish presence, from Kinvara and IMAGE Skincare to the international names that Irish shoppers keep coming back to.
• Skincare Guides — SPF, serums, K-beauty, cruelty-free options, and comprehensive round-ups of the categories Irish skin needs most.
• Beauty Devices — microcurrent, LED, and hair treatment devices, assessed for whether they actually deliver on their claims.
• Red Light Therapy — one of the fastest-growing categories in beauty, covered with a focus on clinical evidence rather than marketing language.

How We Research

We read the clinical literature behind ingredient and device claims. We look at what's actually available in Ireland and at what price. We don't accept payment from brands and we don't have affiliate arrangements that would influence our recommendations at launch.

Where a product or brand is genuinely well regarded — by dermatologists, by Irish consumers, by independent testing — we say so. Where the evidence doesn't support the claims, we say that too.

Content-Only at Launch

Beauty Shop Ireland launched as a content-only site. There are no affiliate links, no sponsored posts, and no shop. If that changes in the future, we'll be clear about it. Our editorial integrity matters more than short-term revenue.
